ā€œIt's not enough to be nice in life. You've got to have nerve.ā€ - Georgia O’keeffe

Meet Sarah Liz

I am a visual artist and digital illustrator based in Decatur, GA. I work across a variety of mediums with an emphasis on digital illustration. My greatest ambition is to illustrate children's books, which feels like a seamless fusion of my artistic practice and my profound belief in the power of early childhood wonder.

By day, I work as a preschool educator at a Reggio Emilia inspired school, bringing the same creativity and intentionality to my classroom that I bring to my art. I champion child-led learning and environments where curiosity, empathy, and independence can genuinely thrive. Watching a child discover the joy of learning is its own kind of art.

Outside of work, I can be found snuggling my cat Luna with a good book, rolling dice at the D&D table, drinking strong coffee, and hunting down Atlanta's best guacamole.

My Values

Curiosity

Everything I do is built upon a foundation of wonder at the magic of the world around me.

Compassion

I deeply believe in the power of love as the driving force behind my desire to create. I want to bring more love into this world than I take out.

Creativity

If I am creating, I’m not consuming. I am contributing. I am communing. I create, because I must.
